Nine housing complexes, 3,308 flats

City halls report nine residential complexes under construction in Talas, Nurzhan, Iyık Janyl and Kyzyl-Adyr, 3,308 flats in all, for handover in 2027 and 2028. Talas has three complexes with 1,380 flats, including the 495 in eleven nine-storey blocks; Nurzhan has four with 1,520, Iyık Janyl one with 240 and Kyzyl-Adyr one with 168. The detail that matters is the ground: some sites are former sovkhoz fields at the city edge, and growers and councillors ask how much irrigated land should be built over. A one-room flat in Talas rents for IS 1,000–1,500 a month; the city has 1.12 million people.
