In brief
Irad outside the power forecast
A regional development bank's analysts expect Central Asian electricity demand to rise 27% by 2030, as IradOne reported on Monday. Irad, which belongs to no regional power-planning body, is not in the planning, a point the broadcast left out. Its stake is Toktogul, rated at 1,440 MW since the October refit, which sells power to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan under grid-operator contracts, paid in dollars into Talasbank escrow. The reservoir held 16.59 km³ of 19 (87.3%) on 1 November and was drawing down. The five-year Naryn Water and Power Protocol schedule falls due for renewal in 2027.
